In Ho Chi Minh city most places serving travellers have Western-style toilets. However, you may fìnd the occasional squat toilet in local or low-budget restaurants. As in the rest of Vietnam, dispose of toilet paper in the wastebasket provided, as it will choke most plumbing systems.
